Color is so in nowadays. And colored game consoles are perhaps the new wave of changes imposed by many. Not long ago, Nintendo released their color inspired DS Lite console. It perpetuated almost every color found in any crayon box. And it started the personalization and uniqueness taste any consumers would want to partake. And just recently, a new wave had been unleashed in the shores of gaming consoles, the released of the black Wii bundle.

2006 was the year when Nintendo Wii consoles had reached the market. And for years, it had been the most chosen game gadget by millions of consumers surpassing Xbox and Sony PlayStation. With its released years ago, the Wii has been equated with the color white. The console box alongside with the game controls are polished with pure white. The base is of grayish neutral shade for that sleek support. Perhaps the idea behind such color is to exude neatness and clarity.

But for years the white has been monotony for Wii. It has been 3 years already and it still stays strong in the market after all this time. But Nintendo confirmed they had been developing a black version of the Wii. And summer of this year, they had proudly announced that black Wii bundle is now available. The said package includes a black Wii remote also known as the “wiimote”, which are the primary controller of the console, the black Controller Pro, Wii MotionPlus and Wii Nunchuck. Aside from that it also contains a copy of Wii Sports Resort and original Wii sports. Downside was, upon its initial released is also its geographical availability. And in June, it is only made accessible in Japan.

Many had been anticipating having their hand on the new black Wii bundle. And Japan is one fortunate country having this first. But last November 6, the said console had finally goes on sale in Ireland and UK. 14 days after, mainland Europe will also have a taste of the new sleek black Wii as this will be made available but only in limited numbers. Furthermore, the black Wiimote, Nunchuk and MotionPlus can also be purchased separately from November 20th.

For US consumers, Nintendo also plans to darken the holidays. The black Wii remote and Nunchuk will hit themarket in November 16. This can be a wonderful alternative from the usual white-hued hardware. The said black equipments will have a price of $49.99. Aside from the remote it will also include a matte-black silicon sleeve for the unit and the Wii Play. The Nunchuk black attachment will also have a tag price of $19.99.

Sad to say the black Wii model that was released in Japan last June will not be released in Europe or even in North America. But I think the said parts can suffice enough the black Wii bundle for the meantime. Thus, if you grew tired of the previous color, then this is your chance for that much needed change. Watch out for these dates and head on to your favorite local gaming stores.
